
B.F. Skinner was an American psychologist who is perhaps best remembered for his important role in the development of the school of thought known as behaviorism. In a survey of psychologists, Skinner was cited as the most influential psychologists of the twentieth-century. Surprisingly, Skinner didn't start out wanting to become a psychologist. He originally earned his undergraduate degree in English literature and wanted to be a novelist. After turning his interest to psychology, he went on to become of the author of more than 200 articles and several books including Beyond Freedom and Dignity and Walden Two.
