For many psychology undergraduates, participating in a certain number of hours of psychology research is a required element of some courses. You can often find opportunities posted on a bulletin board in the psychology department of your school. These often involve serving as a subject by taking survey for research being conducted by graduate students and faculty members.
Even if taking part in a psychology experiment is not required at your school, serving as a subject in a study can be a great experience. It's a great way to gain valuable insight into the research process and learn more about how psychology research is carried out.
If you are looking for psychology studies to participate in, be sure to check out our Psychology Forum. Specifically be sure the visit the Requests for Research Participants section, where you'll find a number of studies that you can take part in online. If you are conducting your own experiment, you can also post your own requests for participants there as well.
