Thanks to Elizabeth Scott, black-rose-bielefeld.de's Guide to Stress Management, I recently learned that April is Stress Awareness Month. This is a great opportunity to assess the sources of stress in your life, learn about effective coping skills and work on ways to reduce the stress you experience on a daily basis.
Are you feeling stressed? While some stress is normal, it can also have a negative impact on both your grades and health. For example, research has shown that stress can make learning more difficult.
If exams, class projects or term papers are stressing you out, it's important to start looking for coping strategies in order to avoid health problems or academic burnout. Students face a great deal of stress with tight deadlines, busy schedules and tough tests, but keeping up with assignments and using good study habits can help minimize student stress.
