Philip Zimbardo is an American psychologist perhaps best known for his famous Stanford Prison Experiment. Many psychology students might recognize Zimbardo as the author of several introductory psychology texts often used in university psychology courses and also as the host of the Discovering Psychology video series that aired on PBS and frequently utilized in high school and college psychology classes.
