I have some major problems I am dealing with. I know that something is wrong with me, but I do not know what it is. I am not asking for a diagnosis, but just some insights into what might be wrong with me. Here are some things I experience on a daily basis:

- I have trouble picking up the main ideas in my conversations with others. Sometimes I finish processing what the person is saying before they have even finished expressing their idea. This makes it hard for me to understand professors in my classes, to process information and carry out tasks at jobs, and to have normal conversations with people in general. Sometimes I even process one word that the person says and think of something completely unrelated to what the person was saying.
- I do not automatically understand people when they say things. It's like I have to try and understand the meaning of each word rather than being able to automatically understand the whole gist and general meaning of the sentence.
- I am often almost incoherent: I have an idea and knowledge of what I want to say in my mind and when I go to share the idea, it never comes out right. Sometimes I have to repeat myself two or three times before the other person understands what I am saying.
- I miss a lot of things that are obvious to other people.
- I am super impulsive to the degree that I do a lot of things that often get me into a lot of trouble.
I am able to process things in my mind and see my profound irrationality after the fact- I'm just scared that I don't comprehend and process things automatically and this impairs every area of my life.
Question for our readers: Have you ever experienced any of these problems? Please share your advice for coping with these issues.

Have you ever considered getting a qEEG done? If you don?t know what that is, it?s a quantitative electroencephalographic analysis, in which the clinician looks at your brain waves. They hook you up to the ?brainwave machine? (EEG), and then ask you to perform various tasks, such as reading or doing a mental math. problem, in addition to just looking at your normal, resting brain waves. This can often be helpful in analyzing how your brain is functioning. Obviously, it would not be an end-all, in and of itself, but it provides useful, ancillary information. The test takes about two hours. A downside to the test is that it is rather expensive, and might not be covered by your health insurance, if your doctor does not prescribe it.
Mercury can enter the brain through many different sources such as dental silver fillings (mercury amalgams). I myself have had mercury poisoning for the past 13 years from a broken mercury thermometer. The symptoms you describe, like the problem with synchonizing timing with thoughts are similiar to problems I had. Mercury can be tested through hair and urine, not blood. But mercury doesn?t always show up in these tests. You will want to compare symptoms with mercury poisoning. Mercury poisoning is more common than it is diagnosed. Andrew Cutler, M.D. is an expert in this field. Review the website I included in my comment.
Here is the website, it didn?t appear with my comment: http://www.noamalgam.com/
I think you may have ADHD. Make an appointment with a neurologist or a psychologist who specializes in ADHD and have some tests done. There are exellent medications for ADHD, and people I know who have used them say they are a miracle. One boy told me, ?I would sit through a 40-minute period and at the end I knew the teacher had said something, but I had no idea what it was.? After taking the medication he started getting As and B?s.
Good luck!! And hang in there!!
Go get some testing done to see if you have a learning disability. You may have an issue with auditory processing, dyslexia, or even dyspraxia. Google these words and see if their descriptions and symptoms apply to you.
Best of luck!
I have the exact same issue and it drives me crazy
Mae is right. My daughter has the same thing and if not fully than definitely partially it?s related to dyslexia or dyspraxia and our doctor said it?s to do with processing information. I.e auditory. You should see a professional, don?t let them deter you, go and see as many people as possible to get a different opinion. I don?t think you can get rid of it completely, but help is definitely out there, only to find it..
